Show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness with the Kansas Breast Cancer Research and Outreach license plate. This distinctive tag displays your commitment to those affected by breast cancer and helps patients in Kansas battle this devastating disease.
Awareness:
Purchasing a Kansas Breast Cancer Research and Outreach license plate will remind women and men to take charge of their health through early detection breast cancer exams.
Assistance:
Your annual $50 tax-deductible gift, paid to the University of Kansas Cancer Center, will support the statewide medical coordinator for the Midwest Cancer Alliance (MCA). The coordinator will work to ensure that patients in communities across Kansas have access to the latest information on cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.
About your license plate:
-
Kansas residents who own passenger vehicles or light trucks with gross weight of 20,000 pounds or less may purchase the Driven to Cure license plate.
-
Upon receipt of your $50 gift and completed online registration, an annual registered certificate will be sent to you.
-
The license plate will be issued upon vehicle registration and payment of regular state license fees to your county treasurer. The county treasurer will collect the registered certificate when you apply for or renew your tag.
-
No additional costs for production will be assessed after your $50 gift and the regular state license fees and taxes have been paid.
-
These plates cannot be personalized. Plate numbers are produced consecutively and issued randomly to the county treasurers’ offices.
-
Renewal: Approximately 60 days before your Breast Cancer Research and Outreach plate expires, you will receive a renewal notice. Return the notice to the University of Kansas Cancer Center with your renewed $50 tax-deductible gift and you will receive a certificate to present to your county treasurer's office to renew your plate.
