I love the dark room and working with film photography. But this scholarship helped me purchase a digital camera, and it opened my eyes to entire other way of seeing. It changed the direction of my thesis work.
I'm interested in the way that the camera can catch each movement in a way that the eye cannot. Also, my work is tied to appearances
– we have to stop behaving like children, stop jumping and running and acting out on our impulses. In my thesis work, I'm working with that contrast within the two sides of myself, the side that behaves in a socially acceptable way and the side that does not.
