I always knew I wanted to be involved in art. I began with drawing, and I did theater design. There have been a lot of changes along the way, and now I’m more interested in casting metals and using found objects.
Working with cast metal is like working with hot lava. At KU, we have a foundry, and we cast using sand in a traditional method. It gets very hot in the foundry, and we wear protective gear. It’s also a lot of fun.
