The hospital is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the health of all people living within the communities it serves. Members of the hospital staff are also committed to supporting the education, research and public service activities of the University of Kansas Medical Center.
An important resource that helps the hospital fulfill that mission is the generous philanthropic support the hospital continues to receive from grateful patients and other members of the community. As a separate authority, the hospital does not receive any funding from the state.
Donations provide the resources to fund such programs as:
Donations of any size can make a difference. Even small amounts given over time can accumulate to create substantial resources for the hospital.
A major gift can establish an endowed fund to provide support for the hospital in perpetuity. Such a fund can be named for you or someone you wish to honor.

The hospital and KU Endowment are partners in philanthropy. A gift to KU Endowment for the hospital represents an investment in the lives and futures of others. A gift of $1,000 qualifies you as a member of the President's Club. Total lifetime giving of $100,000 or more establishes your membership in the Cornerstone Society. And those who have arranged deferred gifts, through their estates or otherwise, are recognized as members of the Bell Legacy Society.
