A gift for KU's Office of Study Abroad opens up the world for students. Founded in 1946, Study Abroad now sends students to more about 60 countries through 100 programs each year.
Almost 1,350 KU students studied abroad in 2006. In addition, more than 500 students from other universities participated through KU because of its wide variety of programs.
KU ranks seventh in the nation among U.S. public research universities in the percentage of students who study abroad. The university has the highest participation rate in the Big 12.
Donations of any size make a difference. Even small amounts given repeatedly provide important annual resources for Study Abroad.
Major gifts of $30,000 or more can establish endowed funds, which can be named for you or for someone else. Such funds provide support for the program in perpetuity.
