Steve Palermo
“Alone we do so little.
Together we can do so much."
- Helen Keller
Your gift to the Steve Palermo Endowment Fund helps University of Kansas researchers search for cures to the devastation of spinal cord injury.
Formerly a chapter of the National Paralysis Foundation, the Palermo Endowment has partnered with KU Endowment to support spinal cord injury research at the KU Medical Center and The University of Kansas Hospital.
The Medical Center and Hospital are among the leaders in their respective fields, and provide the Palermo Endowment with the lasting security that only experience, expertise and excellence can ensure.
Each year researchers come closer to finding ways to regenerate injured nerve tissue. Your contribution helps make that progress possible.
The Palermo Endowment is named for Steve Palermo, the supervisor of umpires for Major League Baseball. In 1991, Steve suffered a bullet wound to his spinal cord when he came to the aid of robbery victims in a Texas parking lot.
Together we can do so much.
Your gift could change a life.
