You can be the difference for the students and faculty of the University of Kansas’ Edwards Campus.
The Overland Park, Kan., campus has only been open since 1993, but it has already become one of the fastest growing campuses in the Kansas City area and a major center for community and economic development.
Offering both graduate and undergraduate degree completion programs, the Edwards Campus provides working adults in the greater Kansas City area with the tools they need to further their careers.
The Edwards Campus puts the needs of students first. Affordable programs are tailored to meet the special demands of working adults. Late afternoon and evening classes are offered to help students balance the responsibilities of work and family.
The campus also is making rapid progress. In 2006, the Confucius Institute opened on the campus. A cooperative project of KU, Huazhong Normal University and others, the institute’s mission is to enhance the understanding of the Chinese language and culture. The campus also opened a 1,900-square-foot laboratory for teaching and research in microbiology and genetics.
Donations of any size can make a difference. Even small amounts given month after month or year after year can build up over time to create substantial resources.
Major gifts can establish endowed funds that can be named for yourself or for someone else and provide financial support for the campus in perpetuity.
The Edwards Campus development director will be happy to assist you in creating an endowed fund, setting up a planned gift, making another kind of gift or answering your questions.
