Who we are
The mission of WP4KU is to encourage women to support the University of Kansas through their philanthropy and leadership, and to explore ways to address the interests of women donors through KU Endowment.

WP4KU was formed in 2004 to highlight the importance of female donors to KU. It has an advisory board composed of 33 women of diverse ages, backgrounds, interests and geographic locations. The board is charged with increasing the involvement and investment of women in KU.

What we do
We sponsor events designed to help women renew their connections with KU. These are not fundraising events; some highlight new initiatives and facilities at the university, while others feature well-known speakers. A steering committee of KU Endowment staff members helps plan these events and provides assistance to the advisory board.

How to get involved
There are many ways to support KU, even if you don’t possess great wealth. We are looking for dynamic women who are interested in giving their time and talent to help the university. Perhaps this kind of involvement would interest you. Or perhaps you are simply interested in seeing what is new on campus and in reconnecting with the university.

Join the WP4KU Network —you’ll automatically receive invitations to all WP4KU events, as well as a bi-annual e-newsletter about our activities. Join by making a one-time contribution of $100 to the KU Women for KU Women Fund, which helps KU women students through the Emily Taylor Women’s Resource Center.
