The KU School of Allied Health is a diverse collection of the health science fields such as physical therapy, laboratory science, health information management, speech pathology, nutrition, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and many other disciplines critical to patient care and the treatment of illness. The school offers more than 20 academic programs in nine fields, with degree options as varied as its academic offerings.

Allied health professionals represent more than 60 percent of the entire health care work force. The central mission of the school is to develop tomorrow’s leaders in allied health through the integration of teaching, patient care and research.

The School of Allied Health boasts collaborations with scientists at other universities and within the greater Kansas City metropolitan area to increase investment in life sciences research. The school places high importance on its ability to translate new knowledge rapidly into tangible benefits for patients and families. Laboratory science with clinical and translational progress is the priority for national and regional commitment of resources to biomedical research.

Gifts of any size can make a difference. Small amounts will accumulate over time to create substantial resources for the school. Our development director will be happy to answer your questions and assist you in creating an endowed fund, setting up a planned gift or making another kind of gift.
