Sixteen students named Chancellors Club Scholars

LAWRENCE — Future chemists, engineers, journalists and musicians are among the 16 students who have been named 2007 - 2008 Chancellors Club Scholars at the University of Kansas.

All are National Merit finalists with outstanding high school achievement and leadership records. Eleven graduated from Kansas high schools and five from out-of-state schools. Each has received a renewable scholarship from the Chancellors Club.

The Chancellors Club, a major-donor organization at KU Endowment, has awarded these scholarships to 276 students since 1979, when the program began.
