Support from loyal alumni is one of the reasons KU has achieved its place as one of the leading universities in the nation. In fact, the percentage of alumni who give is one of the criteria U.S. News & World Report uses to rank universities.

State support provides only about 22 percent of KU’s budget. A crucial part of the remainder comes through donations from loyal alumni and friends.

Giving back to your alma mater shows that you appreciate the high-caliber education you received and that you want to ensure others have the same opportunity. It also supports KU’s many programs and research initiatives that reach out to people throughout Kansas and the world.

Telephone campaign: KU Endowment’s Jaytalkers, all currently enrolled students, may call you with an update on campus events and to ask for donations.
